Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
Today begins Day 1 of 30 days of a mandatory “stay at home” order mandated by most all of the major counties in the Kansas City metro area which is much like many parts of the USA. We are hoping and praying for health officials try to figure out how to conquer the COVID-19 pandemic. I have decided to each day, to log at least 10 miles either running or walking. Today I walked 10.3 miles.
I know this social distancing thing is necessary, but we as humans, for most of us anyway, it is not natural to avoid people you see on the street, or in the grocery store. Unless of course you live in New York City, then this social distancing thing “is” natural for you. (just kidding) In all seriousness, I look forward to a day, hopefully soon, where we won’t feel it is necessary to walk 10 steps out of our way avoiding another human being. It just isn’t natural. I look forward to going back to my church, and worshiping with my brothers and sisters in Christ, in person.
Hopefully, prayerfully, very soon, we won’t see signs on businesses like the one at the door where I work.
