Day Forty Four! Time To Open The Stores!

The squirrels don’t  have a ‘stay at home’ order.  They have been working feverishly since all the madness began.  This little fella was munching on supper near a picnic table at a local swimming pool that may not even open this summer, and that will be ashamed.   I would think that there are plenty of safeguards that can be followed in order to let the pools open for the summer.  One local suburb has already announced they won’t be opening.  It may be a big business year for stores that sell backyard above ground pools, maybe a record year.  That will be good for retail stores, hopefully the small stores that sell summer gear will be recovering in time for the summer fun.  They have to be allowed to open, and open without ridiculous restrictions.  Supposedly most stores will be opening in my county next week, including mine.  We shall see.

I’ve mentioned something similar before, but when I imagined what it would be like to have several weeks off of work, paid, this was not what I envisioned.  I thought something more of a beach house hut, with beautiful scenery and access to the best seafood, the best beach runs, fishing, parasailing, maybe go in a shark cage.  OK, maybe not that, but I do feel I am in a cage, threatened by the predator known as socialism.  I don’t know if the pools will open this summer, or whether the ridiculous option is chosen and they will stay closed.   I still want to be able to swim strong in America, and continue to tread the waters of freedom.

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members,[e] and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[f] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
